3M Cloth Sanding Abrasive Roll comes with a cloth backing that's flexible enough to sand hard-to-reach areas.
Rolls provide a convenient profile for hand or jitterbug sanding in tight locations
Use these abrasive rolls for hand strapping, blending scuff marks, and cleaning parts with curved
profiles such as pipes and tubes. The abrasive roll has a durable cloth backing that combines
with long-lasting abrasive to provide an extended service life.
Flexible cloth backing provides high conformability to reach more challenging locations that
a stiffer backing is more likely to miss. To judge the flexibility of the backing,
it's also important to consider its weight. As a general rule for evaluating these products,
lighter weight backing offers more flexibility than heavier ones.
The abrasive roll is also an excellent choice for light deburring,
which is the process of removing the sharp metal fragments that are
often left behind on the edge of freshly cut metal.
Use this abrasive for knocking down the burrs occurring on flat edges, circular
holes and drill holes. It will remove the sharp burrs and leave a smooth edge.
